I use the because like a poutine with shredded cheese, it’s not as good as the original! Imaginary Numbers by The Maine Record Label: Independent/8123 Genre: Alternative Rock Release Date: December 10, 2013 Songs: 5 The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona.
Formed in 2007. The band was founded by Pat Kirch (drummer) and Garrett Nickelsen (Bassist) when they were still in high school.
Even though they’re from Arizona, the name Maine comes from a song by a very respected band called, Ivory. They got their name from their song, The Coast Of Maine (great song as well). The Maine have five EPs: s tay Up, Get Down, And A Happy New Year, In Darkness And In Light, Good Love and Imaginary Numbers. And 4 albums out: Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop, Black And White, Pioneer and Forever Halloween. Members of the band are: John O’Callaghan (vocals), Jared Monaco (lead guitarist), Kennedy Brock (back up guitarist), Garrett Nickelsen (bass), and Pat Kirch (drums).
2013 is coming to a close (finally), and The Maine knows just how to end it–with a sad, mopey love song that listeners will love. I know for a fact that I love it, and this band never cease to amaze me with every piece of music that they manage to come out with. Even after all this time (always!
Sorry, I’m reading HP) The Maine are still getting comfortable with their new sound. This shows in, Raining in Paris, where high notes are uncertain things for the vocalist, hence the shakiness of those few notes. Perfectly out of Key is a song that I have a hard time understanding and even liking. It’s weird in the sense of how stable it is. I do like the lyrics, their admirable and unique and the piano part is too sweet that I can’t even but once again, the vocals totally throw me off.
John, Bro, Moving on to the good parts, The Maines’ guitarists probably have some of the best riffs ever. Mostly in Room With No Windows and Visions where there’s a spot light to show off just how awesome they are. Also, Room With No Windows has a xylophone part! Do you understand how awesome that is? Super awesome!
Visions has a nice bass as well that’s actually really prominent (finally, Garrett). The EP ends with Lovely Sad, which is a slow, very sweet ballad that has a beautiful piano solo. Imaginary Numbers is an EP that, for the most part, is really solid. My favourite songs are Room With No Windows and Visions for sure. But I believe that The Maine can only go up from here.
Studio Album (7) - EP (1) Can't Stop Won't Stop. Good Love Lyrics: Tossing coins down the wishing well / Don't fall in now, it leads straight to Hell / I need you closer, need you beside me / Good Love will find me, Good Love will find me / The.

Get your costumes out! Try to scare the crap out of little children and most of all! DON’T FORGET THE CANDY! Gosh, how I love candy.
Because I do love it. Like, a lot and could probably eat it everyday for the rest of my life if I could. But anyway, this is a song by my favourite band.
It’s all about Halloween and going back to a time where you could pretend to be anything you wanted and be a kid. My favourite part is: Kids in costumes Dressed like Kings and Queens Little monsters Walking down my street In this place I’ll Be anything but me So you be brave and I’ll still be eighteen So just this once Yeah just for now yeah you can be anything Anything in the world And darling don’t Don’t you start to scream It doesn’t mean anything It’s just make believe You can listen to Forever Halloween Lyrics. Forever Halloween by The Maine Record Label: Independent/8123 Eighty One Twenty Three Genre: Alternative Rock (with a little bit of pop) Release Date: June 4, 2013 Songs: 12 The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona.
Members of the band are: John O’Callaghan (vocals), Jared Monaco (lead guitarist), Kennedy Brock (back up guitarist), Garrett Nickelsen (bass), and Pat Kirch (drums).
(My Opinion) There’s just so much that I love about Forever Halloween. Actually, there is so much that I love about The Maine, really. But this isn’t about how they’re my favourite band or about how they’re so nice and funny. This is about their newest album and how much is fucking rocks. And about how much they have grown as a band, which is evident with this album.
They’re a lot more confident with their sound and the direction they want their music to lead to which is one of the reasons why I love Forever Halloween. Unfortunately, I don’t really like Fucked Up Kids because I feel like it falls flat especially at the chorus, the drums and guitar seem to be on completely different pages and parts are done a bit sloppily. And although I love Run and it’s one of my favourite songs off of Forever Halloween the transitioning between the chorus and the verse could have been smoother, it’s rushed and a little too sharp. Fortunately, I love everything else about this album. The guitar duet in Kennedy Curse is phenomenal, it’s dark and haunting in a good way.
Hopefully we’ll hear more of it on their next album. Birthday In Los Angeles is a bit different from the rest of the songs because of the song structure and sound.
It doesn’t necessarily have the same chorus every time, it changes a bit and the lone ukulele accompanying John’s voice is really delicate and soft. With Blood Red there is an echo coming off of all the instruments and vocals that really compliments the song and the creepiness that is intended for it.
I also love the use of different percussion instruments and clapping, etc. That are enclosed in songs, Blood Red, Happy, and Take What You Can Carry. Also, These Four Words compared to You Left Me, This Is The End, and, I’m Sorry is a lot darker and sadder with only the piano to emphasis just how sad and broken the song is meant to be. It’s beautiful and heart-wrenching which I think makes the song that more great. (Also, I can’t take this song very seriously because of the line: “I really should just go home and play with myself”. It’s too funny!) Forever Halloween is pretty much gold. Every song has its own creepy, cool, unique theme to it that comes together to make this album a whole with a Halloween feeling.
Off of the album my favourite songs are: Run, Blood Red, Kennedy Curse, Love & Drugs and Happy. But I love almost all of them. I recommend this album to everyone, especially people who love alternative rock and people who love creepy, Halloween-like music and everything in-between. 4.5 Beautiful Treble Clefs Songs On The Album (Click on the title to listen to the song!) 1.3:38 3.-3:38 4.2:45 6.-3:17 7. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop by The Maine Record Label: Fearless Records Genre: Pop/Punk Release Date: July 8, 2008 Songs: 13 The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona. Formed in 2007. Members of the band are: John O’Callaghan (vocals), Jared Monaco (lead guitarist), Kennedy Brock (back up guitarist), Garrett Nickelsen (bass), and Pat Kirch (drums). (My Opinion) No one will ever fully understand just how much I love The Maine. They showed me what good music is.
I remember when they just started out with their white van (that their fans got to sign because they’re so lucky!) and some of them were fresh out of high school. John was the crazy one who danced a lot (still does).
Jared’s the quiet one who wanted everyone to do things. Pat and Garrett were the childish ones who always going wild.
And Kennedy was the one who was veryweird, I guess. But I love them all because they make up my favourite band (plus all the people who have helped them along the way!) And the first song I ever listened to by them is off of this album and I swear that one song, Into Your Arms changed my life. A lot of bands start off with a pop/punk sound before they move in other directions. The Maine seems to end their album with a techno tune called, The Way We Talk. This is a very repetitive song that I rarely ever listen to because of how annoying it is.
Other songs like, Time To Go and You Left Me have a lot going on too. While the use of different sounds isn’t the problem, what is, is the way all of them collaborate with each other. Most of the tunes in, You Left Me play on top of each other rather than with each other. There are too many sounds to focus on just one with songs like these. Every song on Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop are light, playful songs. Everything I Asked For, Into Your Arms, Whoever She Is, Kiss and Sell, and I Must Be Dreaming are all songs that mostly focus on romances and first loves that left you wanting more.
The album jumps back and forth, keeping it interesting with songs, We All Roll Along, We’ll All Be, and Girls Do What They Want that are more about fooling around, looking back at good memories and never wanting to grow up. I love the use of different instruments in We’ll All Be, it sounds like a huge party and never gets old. John hits the high notes beautifully throughout this album while Pat keeps a steady beat that doesn’t overpower the tone of most songs. I like how the guitarists get a cool solo in This Is The End. I also like that I can easily distinguish the bass from the rest of the band. It doesn’t just blend in out stand out too much in most songs. Overall, I recommend this album to everyone. My favourite songs are, Whoever She Is, Into Your Arms, This Is The End, and We’ll All Be Even though it’s not perfect, it is a great album about first loves and good times that will keep everyone who listens reliving those memories that were made in their high school days.

New, funky, easy to sing along to tunes about life and love. When I saw them in concert and bought a bracelet, it read, good love will find me. I didn’t know what it meant until I found a bad quality YouTube video of them playing that song. Thank god they recorded a better version because it’s an amazing song. This EP is by far my favourite out of all the Eps just because they know exactly what they want, and John’s voice is steady and confident now. I love how the beat and how it starts off slow but easily quickens while everything else is still in synch.
If you loved their Pioneer album then you will definitely love this EP. Categories,. Tags,. My favourite band of all time. I’m Sorry is a song about fucking up a lot and needing someone to be there for you. And its the same person every time, no matter how many times you’ve screwed that person over, they’re still there for you. It’s about needing to clean up your act and be a better person to them instead of the shitty one you’ve been for so long. My favourite part is: I’m sorry, I’m not what you wanted.
I’m sorry, I’m sorry I let you down. I could use some poor excuse, cause the hardest thing to say, Oh, it’s the hardest thing to say in the world is I’m sorry.
